About

Cora’s Medicine

Cora’s Garden is named after Cora “Hun” Clark (nee' Hilliard), an ancestral matriarch of the Hilliard family. A woman of enterprise, resilience and wit, she instilled the wisdom of plant and spiritual alignment in her daughters - as her fore-mothers did for generations.

It is through the practice, education, and community building of herbalism that we honor her powerful wisdom. This work allows us to reintegrate the community with the land and activate our bodies divine capacity for healing.

Purpose

To empower innate healing potential through the usage and advocacy of herbal remedies.

Vision

To build a world where humans are confident, self-directed and aligned in the usage of alternative healing therapies in their everyday lives.

Mission

To enhance the responsible use of herbal support through education, formula building and guidance.

Meet the Herbalist

Shavon is the great-granddaughter of Cora, native New Yorker and spirited lover of plants. With over 15 years of herbal training, clinical practice and study, she is versed in the usage, cultivation and formulation of plant solutions. Her specialties include North American and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) therapies.

As a descendant of Yuchi, Cherokee and Blackfoot lineage, Shavon is committed to the preservation of indigenous/aboriginal lands of North and South America, the dissemination of herbal knowledge and the collective healing of marginalized communities.
